Alien Races

Descriptions of nonhuman visitors vary wildly, yet a few recurring forms dominate the literature. The question is never just what they look like, but what their repeated appearance says about fear, memory, or contact.

Recurring forms

  • Small gray figures dominate abduction narratives and laboratory-like environments.
  • Taller humanoid visitors tend to appear in contact stories with moral or civilizational messages.

Motives assigned

  • Accounts describe observation, warning, genetic curiosity, or intervention.
  • These motives often reveal as much about human anxiety as alien intent.

Contact and symbol

  • Some researchers treat alien races as literal visitors, others as psychic masks for deeper phenomena.
  • The category refuses to settle into one explanation.
